Position Summary

As a system administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our organization's critical IT infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth functioning, security, and availability of our IT infrastructure to support the company's operations.
Major Roles And Responsibilities (Job Details)

 

Roles and responsibilities:

System Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows server operating systems and its services

  • Configure and maintain DNS services, Email services, Web services, etc.

  • Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot operating systems, server infrastructures, and critical system services.

  • Ensure the availability and performance of servers and critical services.

  • Basic Networking for the Server Infrastructure.

  • Deployment of a managed VPS, cPanel, and email solution to the customers.

  • Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Bash

  • Upgrading system resources with new releases in modules, hardware, disk space, and performance under the mentor’s supervision.

  • Coordination and communication with the customers for understanding the key problems and facilitating them with solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in system administration.

  • In-depth knowledge of Linux administration and security.

  • RHCSA and RHCE will be an added advantage.

  • Understanding in DNS, Mail, Web, Firewall, Nagios, Cacti, MRTG, SNMP, Tacacs, LDAP, cPanel, MySQL, MSSQL, SAN, NAS, VPN, etc.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, etc.).

  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting,and communication skills.
